As I said, the Shimano Sentire Sakana II 1202 is ideal for beach fishing. It can be used effectively for both bait and lures due to both its composition and action. It's length allows a super long cast and ensures your line is up and out of the waves as much as possible so you know when the fish are biting and can set the hooks in time. It's built on a high-quality 24 ton Toray graphite blank, which is lightweight, super responsive and very sensitive to vibrations so you don't miss a bite. The guides are the latest tangle-free Fuji Fazlite K Frame guides: strong, super smooth and durable. The butt section is a custom EVA split butt built for comfort and performance especially when working lures and soft plastics. It has a medium-fast taper which is ideal to suit a bigger mix of fishing types. The Real - Shimano Sedona 8000

The iconic Shimano Sedona has quite literally stepped up a gear with the FI series. In the pursuit of further engineering excellence, Shimano has incorporated the Hagane Gear into this eight reel series. When compared to the previous FE model, the Sedona FI also boasts a significant upgrade in that the redesigned rotor is lighter, and there's improved drag output on 2000 through to the 8000 sizes.

The upside to having a slightly oversized reel like the Sedona 8000 paired in this combo is that should a school of larger individual fish, for example - large Jewfish, Salmon or a school of Kings happen to come across your bait and you hook up, you have a far greater chance of landing said fish with the 11kg of drag and added line capacity.
